Claire Hall has been working in glass, and as a jewellery designer, for the last fifteen years in both Britain and America.

Claire uses a variety of glass, mainly Italian and American, for making her lamp-worked beads over an oxypropane torch. Each bead is individually designed and hand-made in her studio in Cleeve, North Somerset.

Over the last year Claire has pursued her interest in glass fusing. Her most recent jewellery designs are made using layers of glass fused together in a kiln to a temperature of 820 degrees centigrade. When combined with her own glass beads and forged silver each piece is unique.

Claire has always been fascinated with the landscape especially the dramatic and the sublime. Her use of rich intense colours, layering of glass and light are the key elements in her current range of jewellery.

Claire currently has her work in galleries and shops in Bristol, Bath, North Somerset, Devon and Cornwall. She has also been successfully selling her jewellery at the Eden Project for the last 5 years.

Claire Hall has an honours degree in Fine Art and P.G.C.E. in Art, Design and Technology. Claire has also attended a bead-making and silver-smithing course after receiving an Arts Council Award to further her training.
